Black rot of the fruit core that spreads from the calyx area, whereas the outer peel and the hard rind retain their healthy appearance. Small reddish brown circular spots appear on the fruits. The fruits get affected which become pale and become unfit for consumption. As the disease advances the brown spots coalesce to form larger patches and the fruits starts rotting. Infected fruits are usually lighter in weight than healthy fruits and may be paler in color.
