Symptoms
Damage starts at the stem end, and the brown discoloration extends further than the cracking. The mites and their cast skins may be found in the cracks. The other blemish occurs anywhere on the fruit, and has no extra discoloration beyond the cracked area.
Control
Practice one to three applications of sulfur dust as a prophylactic against mite.
During dry spell spray fenzaquin 10EC @2ml/l or dicofol 50WSP @ 1g/l or Dicofol 18.5 EC @ 2.5m/l or wettable sulphur 80WP @ 3g/l in rotation when required.
